History

At Cippenham School, we believe History plays a great role in understanding our place in our world and in human development. 

Our desire is to nurture young Historians, who are motivated, inspired and articulate about their learning. 

Our high-quality relevant to Cippenham learners curriculum enables  our pupils  from Reception to Year 6, to engage in a rich dialogue with past events and historical enquiry. 

Our emphasis is on chronology and our commitment is to build up, year upon year, a ‘big’ picture of the past and our place within these events. 

We endeavour to give our pupils, not only a breadth  but also a depth and sophistication of knowledge. We are proud of our vocabulary-rich curriculum which will enable Cippenham pupils to ask questions, think critically, weigh evidence, sift arguments and develop perspective as well as judgement.
